About Ting-Hui (Tom) Lin 林庭輝

I am currently working as a Software Development Engineer at HTC. Specifically I work on the push notification service, whose mission is to help mobile apps send out notifications to clients(mobile devices) via different providers(GCM, Baidu, APNs) through our service. Currently has about 20 million data in DB. Experience with developing Large Distributed System(High Availability, Scalability, Load Balance, Message Queue) on AWS. Collaborating with others on company’s gitlab on daily basis.

Previously I attended an exchange student program and worked with Prof. Ken-Yu Lin as a Research Assistant at University of Washington. Our focus was developing an educational construction safety 3D game project using Unity.

I would be thrilled to learn more about fields related to new software frameworks and tools, open source projects, data mining, scalable software architecture, and anything about programming. Becoming a software architect some day is one of the directions I am currently interested in taking.
